What is nephron?
The nephron is the small microscopic structural and functional unit of the kidney. It comprises of a renal corpuscle and a renal tubule. The renal corpuscle is composed of a tuft of capillaries which is refer to as the glomerulus and Bowman's capsule. The renal tubule extends from the capsule.
Therefore, The proximal convoluted tubule is a portion of kidney nephron between the loop of Henle and the collecting tubule.
