Leah wrote two different fractions with the same denominator. Both fractions were less than one. Can their sum equal one? Can there some be greater than one? Explain
Their sums may be greater than one or equal one because even though their numerator is different, their denominator is the same. For example, 6/7 + 2/7, these two fractions when added will add up to 8/7 (1 and 1/7). Another example would be 1/4 and 3/4, when added they add up exactly 1.
