When multiplying terms with the same base with exponents, you keep the base and add the exponents.
2^4 * 2^3 = 2^7
Any number with an exponent of zero equal one.
4^0 = 1
Multiply exponents when the term is being multiplied by a power.
(2^4)^3 = 2^12
When dividing terms with exponents, you keep the base and subtract the exponents.
9^7/9^5 = 9^2 9^5/9^7 = 1/9^2
